Welcome Letter
June 1, 2020
To Our Patients,
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health.
Our office will be reopening on Monday June 8, 2020. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing remains the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. Our office follows the latest infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association, the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Before your appointment, there are several steps you need to take:
- Three days prior to your appointment, please go on our website, www.kannerdental.com, and click on the “Patient Screening Form” banner. Read the screening form carefully, and if you answer “yes” to any of the questions, call us as soon as possible for a deeper discussion.
- You will be required to bring and wear a mask to the office. Please keep the mask on until asked by one of our staff to remove it.
- You should come alone for your appointment, unless you must be accompanied by a caregiver or parent. Guests of patients will be asked to remain outside.
- When you arrive, please call us from outside to let us know that you are here, and if possible, please remain outside until a staff member tells you to come in. If there’s a physical problem in standing outside, please let the staff know when you call.
- If you develop any flu-like symptoms within 14 days after your appointment, please call.
You may notice some other changes in the office. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff.
For example:
- You’ll be asked the questions you previously reviewed on our website again when you enter the office and have your temperature taken. Anyone with a fever will not be seen.
- We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use.
- Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the office at any one time.
- In order to limit the number of people you interact with, if you are in for a cleaning the hygienist will perform the exam, only calling in the doctor if there is an issue or concern. Our hygienists all have the skills, training and license to perform a complete dental exam. If there are any questions at all during your visit, we will be there for you.
As always, we value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back.
Sincerely,
Drs. Jed Kanner, Neil Kanner, and Arnie Cochin
